After an illness of only ten days, Rev. Arch L Graham, assistant to the president of Monmouth College, died the night of December 27, 1920 at his residence at 924 East Euclid Ave. Lobar pneumonia coupled with asthma was the cause of his death. He was survived by his wife and two little girls. Also his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Graham of Somonauk were here. Mr. Graham was born at Somonauk in 1877, residing there the early part of his life. He attended Monmouth college, graduating with the class of 1902. Then he attended Xenia seminary, where he graduated in 1905. He acted as supply pastor at Gerlaw in 1904, then was called to Keota, Iowa, where he was pastor until 1909. In 1905 he married Miss Maxie Sprague of Columbus Junction, Iowa. He was pastor at Burlington until 1916, when he came to Monmouth college to take the place of Prof. J.H. McMillan, who had died a short time before. He was assistant to the president of the college, and also executive secretary of the Alumni Association in charge of the society's bulletin.. His funeral was in the Monmouth Cemetery.
