An Indiana native, Mr. Goodpaster had resided in Yorktown for the past 60 years following a move from Berne. He was a retired employee of the Yorktown Sanitation Department and a former employee of the Acme Lees Division of Serrick Corp. in Muncie.
His survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Johnny Brown, Yorktown; three brothers, Hearl, Muncie, Lee and George, both of Yorktown; a sister, Mrs. Belma Belew, Yorktown; and three grandchildren, Deborah D. Brown, Kathy Rainey Brown, and Johnny F. Brown, Jr.
Pastor Andrew F. Hayes will officiate at the services with burial in Yorktown Cemetery. The family will receive callers at the Parson Mortuary tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock and one hour before services at the church Tuesday.
