Bert attended public school in Tennessee.

Bert retired from the Nashville Bridge Company after working there for many years. Bert was the type of person that loved everyone and will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

He leaves to mourn a devoted wife Christine Taylor; three daughters Norma Watkins, Lucille Thompson, and Bessie Watson; three sons Bert, James, and George Taylor; mother Odelia Taylor; seven granddaughters; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; one brother Neal Taylor; three sisters Mary Chatman, Clara Buford, and Eunice Buford; mother-in-law Susie Miller; one sister-in-law Lillie Pearl Taylor; four brothers-in-law Willie Buford, Douglas Buford, James Miller, and Roosevelt Austin; one daughter-in-law Willie Pearl Taylor; two sons-in-law Richard Thompson and Fred Watson; a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation is with the family on Friday, January 23, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 Pm. Funeral service to follow at Richard Smith Funeral Home, 706 Monroe Street. Reverend H. Stockard officiating. Interment Saturday, January 24, at Greenwood Cemetery.
