Mrs. Leona Bates of Oelwein Dies; Funeral Sunday
Oelwein, Ia. -- Mrs. Leona Bates, age about 73, died Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. H. Pery, 153 Main Street, Waterloo, where she had been for a week. Death was due to apoplexy, with which she was stricken 10 days ago.
Her husband died some time ago.
Survivors are the daughter and two sons, Frank and W.A. Bates, both of Oelwein.
The body was taken to Brant Funeral Home at Oelwein, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday.
