Miss Emma Frish, 75, formerly of 1015 18th St., Two Rivers, died Thursday night at Manitowoc County Hospital, where she had been a patient for four months. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels and at 10 am at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. The Rev. H.J. Schmitz will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Tisch Mills. Miss Frish was born July 18, 1889 in the Town of Cooperstown, daughter of the late John and Jennie Douchen Frish. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Rose Deja of Two Rivers and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the funeral chapels after 7 o'clock this Friday evening where the rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock. Manitowoc Herald Times, Fri., Feb. 5, 1965 page 17.

Note: Her father John was born in 1859 and his memorial is #104471168. He is on a family stone with his 1st wife Jennie (Johanka Douchen), their son Joseph, and his 2nd wife Frances Stefanik. As for the stone Emma shares on her grave, the only person in this family that I'm aware of with a birth date of 1824/25 is Paul, her paternal grandfather. He died 1/30/1908 in Manitowoc, WI (he was a widow in 1900 living with his daughter Rose Opichka & her family). His wife Maria "might be" (emphasis on might) memorial #90370219 (tombstone says "zena" meaning she was a wife and not an unmarried woman). Paul's wife Maria was born in 1825 & came to the U.S. with Paul in June, 1861 with their 2 children Rose & John per their immigration papers.
