Wilburn Paul Odom, 82, of Wichita Falls died Monday, November 28, 2011.

The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2011, in the chapel of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Rucker officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Byers Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

A son of the late Opal (Manes) and Clifford Odom, Mr. Odom was born on September 12, 1929, in Byers, Texas. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1948 until 1952 .He and Emma Jo Lummus were married on January 1, 1952. Mr. Odom retired from Wilson Manufacturing after working many years in the service department. After retiring, Mr. Odom worked for Washex as an inspector. He loved fishing, hunting and camping.

Mr. Odom was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Ann Odom and a sister, Geneva Morgan. Survivors include: his wife, Emma Jo Odom of Wichita Falls; sons Ronny Odom and wife Rexcena of Wichita Falls, Allen Odom and wife, Annette of Land of Lakes, Florida and Joel Douglas Odom and wife, Jane of Plano, Texas; sisters, Mary Dorsey and husband, Willard, Nelda Tuggle and husband, Bobby, Doris Bartosh and husband, Lewis and Carolyn Howard and husband, Willy, all of Wichita Falls; brothers, Curtis Odom and wife, Jodie of Burkburnett, Delbert Odom and wife, Deann of Burleson, Texas and Jessie Odom and wife, Judy of Wichita Falls; grandchildren; Celena Lott, Alena Wilkinson and husband, Donnie, Chad Odom, Cliff Odom, Leticia Cooper, Jenny Cooper and Felicity Cooper; great-grandchildren, Dalton and Garret Lott, Jett Odom, Hayden and Spencer Wilkinson; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and family from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at the funeral home.
