Ledbetter, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Paul M. age 71 of Lenoir City, Born in Walland, TN, died Friday, January 11, 2002 at his home. He was devoted to his family. He was drafted in 1951 and served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War with the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by parents, Cal and Annie Shields Ledbetter; brothers, Erwin, Ernest, Roy, Leonard, Toye, and Otis Ledbetter; sister, Kate Jones. Survivors include wife, Mary E. Ledbetter; sons, Paul Matthew Ledbetter, Jr. of Covington, GA, Michael Howard Ledbetter of Maryville; daughters, Rebecca MacKenzie and Mary K. McDonald both of Maryville; grandchildren, Lora Elizabeth Greene, Jennifer A. Mills, Ashley Watson, Lisa Ledbetter, Hunter McDonald, Sarah and Leannah Ledbetter, Aengus MacKenzie; sister, Ruby Davis of Maryville; and beloved nieces and nephews. Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2002 at West Millers Cove Cemetery with Rev. George Macht officiating. Memorial donations may be made to The Parkinsons Foundation.
