John Wogoman was born in Elkhart County, Indiana in 1838. He married Sarah Jane Plew in Kosciusko County, Indiana 15 October 1861. Sarah was born in Darke County, Ohio 22 February 1842, the daughter of Jeremiah and Elizabeth Plew. Jeremiah and Elizabeth were both born in Ohio in 1814.
John and Sarah lived on a farm south of Syracuse, Indiana and were members of the Church of the Brethren. John died 7 March 1897 and Sarah died 3 August 1919.
