Apulia-- Funeral services for Nellie Casey, 98, were held Monday, Oct. 11 at the Hartwell Funeral Home, Tully and St. Leo's Church, Tully. Mrs. Casey died Friday, Oct. 8 in a Syracuse nursing home after a long illness. A resident of the Tully-Apulia area for most of her life, she was the wife of a prominent farmer, the late Neil Casey.
Mrs. Casey was a communicant of St. Leo's church and a member of its Altar Guild. She was also a member of the Social Dozen. She is survived by two sons, John C. Casey and Donald R. Casey; two daughters, Mrs. Delbert Wiltsey, Cortland and Katherine VanBuskirk; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a nephew, four nieces; and a sister-in-law Katherine Cashel, Tully.
Bearers were William Casey, John Casey, Neil Casey, Donald Casey, John Wiltsey and Bob Wiltsey. Burial was in St. Leo's Cemetery.
