When A.C. was about 12, the family moved to either Mountain Grove or St. Jo, Missouri. AC came to TX (Dallas Co.) in 1889. AC never owned any land in Dallas Co. TX. AC and Sarah bought a farm in Cash, OK where they lived about 3 years. Because of health issues, AC and Sarah sold the farm and moved into Lawton, Comanche Co., OK.

Randy Boney says that the horse AC rode to Texas was called Nettie. Nettie was 27 Years old when she died. Every year on Nettie's birthday Sarah baked her a cake.

A.C. HENNESSEE RITES CONDUCTED - Retired County Farmer dies on Sunday; Service Held in Texas
Audley C. Hennessee, 77, retired county farmer, died at 4:25 a.m. Sunday at his residence, No. 10o C, after a brief illness. He had resided in the county for 33 years. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.. Monday at Vickery, Tex. Burial was slated to be held in the family plot in the ills cemetery at Garland , Tex.
Mr. Hennessee was born in Warren county, Tennessee, July 27, 1863. He married Miss Sarah Keller at Dallas, Tex., in 1890 before coming her in 1908. His membership was with the Methodist church most of his life. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. E.C. Thompson, of Lawton, Ms. E.D. Clifton, of California; Mrs. A.K. Hogan, Mrs. F.L. Hogan and Mrs. M. Brewer, all of Vickery, Tex.; five sons, John of Vickery, Joe, J.L., T.M. and Paul Hennessee, all of Lawton, 37 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and other relatives.
