JONESBORO—Funeral services for Mrs. Irene Pate Johnson Davis, 59, of Norwalk California, formerly of Jonesboro La, were to be held at 1:30 pm today at Edmonds Funeral Home here with the Rev H. A. Staggs Jr. Officiating. Burial was to be at Mt. Olive Cometary. She died Wednesday in Norwalk at Kaiser Foundation Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband Charles Davis of Norwalk Calif.; two sons, Dale Johnson, and Curtis Johnson both serving in the US Navy; four daughters, Louise Lyles of Plain Dealing La., Elouise Pepper of Jonesboro, La., Mrs. ALverne Horsefall of Gainesville Fla., and Elaine Beezley of El Cajon Calif.; three brothers, Walter Pate, and George Pate both from Quitman La., and Tracey Pate of Sherveport, La.; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtis Alexander of Quitman La., Mrs. Mattie Wright of Monroe La., Mrs. Tressie Sanderson of West Monroe La.; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
