Albert A. Hessler, 62, retired employee of Central Indiana Gas Co., died unexpectedly Sunday at his home, 2901 S. Hackley St., apparently as the result of a heart attack. He was born on a farm in Delaware County, the son of Adam J. and Elizabeth Ortmann Hessler, and spent his entire life in this community. He attended St. Lawrence School.
Mr. Hessler was employed at Central Indiana Gas Co. many years prior to his retirement. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and Eagles Lodge 231.
Surviving are his sister, Mrs. George (Alma) Davis, Louisville, Ky., and several nieces and nephews including Mrs. Lloyd (Cuba) Heston, Muncie, Mrs. Barbara Hendricks, RR 8 Muncie, and Mrs. Jerry (Joan) Shaw, DeSoto.
Rev. Raymond Wieber will celebrate the Mass of Resurrection at St. Lawrence Church 10 a.m. Wednesday. Entombment will follow in Elm Ridge Mausoleum. Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary from 2-5 and 7-8 p.m. Tuesday. The Rosary will be recited at the mortuary 4 p.m. Tuesday.
