ALBERT JAY BOWLES, Age 59, died Monday, May 16, 2011 at his home in Charleston.

Born May 24, 1951 in Mississippi County, MO to the late Albert J. and Virginia Myers Bowles, he was a 1969 graduate of Charleston High School and remained an active supporter of Blue Jay Football through his participation with the Blue Jay Football Booster Club.

He was employed with Delta Growers Association for 28 years until his retirement and was a member of the Wyatt Baptist Church where he served as a trustee.

On November 27, 2004, he married Ronda Rae Britton Guerrero who survives of the home.

Also surviving are two sons, Adam Bowles of Charleston and Danny Stinnett of New Madrid; three daughters, Heather Bowles of Matthews, Angela Clayton of Paragould, AR and Jessica Guerrero of East Prairie; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and his first wife, Janie Stinnett Aters, of Sikeston.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2011, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Dean Wallace, pastor of the Wyatt Baptist Church, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Kevin Brown, Jr., David Sherrion, Charles Maxwell, Wesley Manning, David Patrick, Justin Smith.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Danny Stinnett, Clayton Ullman, Jaxon Manning, Caiden Manning, J.E. Stinnett, Bobby Copeland, Keith Moore, Charlie Marcum, Hoyt Sutton, Jason Palmer, Paul Brown, Jr., Eddie Carlton, Joey Bailey, Kevin Johnson, Ed Staggs, Kenneth Bailey, Chris Crowley, A.J. Groves, Jr., Charlie Tatum and members of the 2000 to 2003 Charleston High School Football program.
