Ephriam Jordan, longtime Ponca City resident, died Wednesday morning, June 21, 2000, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. He was 64.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2000, at Grace Memorial Chapel with Deacon Richard Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at the IOOF Cemetery in Ponca City

Ephriam was born on Feb. 1, 1936, in Enid to Clarence Jordan and Nettie (James) Jordan. He grew up in and around the Enid area. At the age of 15, he went to work for Pepsi Cola Co. On July 1, 1954, he married Carol Reed in Medford. In 1956, they were transferred to Ponca City, where he was a route salesman. In 1961, Ephriam went to work for 7up/Dr. Pepper Bottling Co. as the production manager. In 1982, they moved to Fairview, going to work for Cheyenne Roustabout and Trucking Co. In 1984, they moved back home to Ponca City, and Ephriam returned to the Dr. Pepper Co. as production manager. He received numerous awards for excellence in quality control. In 1993, he was employed by Hughes Lumber until his retirement in 1995.

Ephriam’s hobbies included spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed classic cars, going to the annual car show in Arkansas City, Kan., and playing cards with his friends.

Survivors include his parents; two daughters, Brenda Stinson and her husband Roger of Marland, Cheryl Montgomery and her husband Brennan of Ponca City; five grandchildren, Richard Bryer and his wife Wendy, Jeremy Bryer and his wife Misty, Danny Bryer, Brandi Torres and her husband Jose, and Mikel Montgomery; three great-grandchildren, Chance and Austin Bryer, and Tatyana Torres; four brothers, Jody Jordan and his wife Gloria, Gilbert Jordan and his wife Iola, Bill Jordan, and Troy Jordan and his wife Debbie, all of Enid; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Carol in 1990, and a sister, Joann Jordan.
