He was born Tuesday, December 5, 1939, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Christopher Columbus Scales and the late Letha Marie Foley Scales. He died Thursday, February 21, 2013, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 73 years, 2 months, and 16 days.
He was a Mechanical Engineer supervisor.
He is survived by his wife, Marylee Price Scales of Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
His daughter: Lydia Faulkner, Granada Hills, CA
Four sisters: Lenola McFarland, Cincinnati, OH; and Geraldine Twyford, Russell Springs, KY; Irene Bryant, and Verene Wheat, all of Russell Springs, KY.
One brother: Garnett Scales, Ohio.
Two grandchildren: Benjamin and Ethan.
A special family friend: Mandy (Brian) WIthers and their children, Ryleigh, Peyton, and Mason
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Glydis Scales, on February 28, 1997.
