MUNCIE--Robert L. Bader, 62, died Thursday morning at his home in Muncie after a short illness.
He was born in Muncie, graduated from Harrison Township High School and attended Ball State Teachers College and Ivy Tech.
He was employed at General Motors for 30 years before his retirement and worked at the Hillcroft Center for 10 months after he retired.
On Sept. 23, he renewed his wedding vows with his wife, Ramona, on the day his daughter and son-in-law, Robyn and Kevin Nolley, were married.
Surviving besides his wife, Ramona, to whom he had been married 41 years, and his daughter and son-in-law, are his mother, Elizabeth Rose Roberts Bader; five sisters, Nancy Quinn (husband: Frank), Charlene Guinn (husband: Dean), Gloria Nigh (husband: Gary), Marsha Michael (husband: Ronald), and Linda Roetkin (husband: Larry); his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Betty and Paul Cordle, Charlotte and Ray Counts, William and Valerie Blevins, Virgil Lee Blevins, Randall and Diane Blevins, Herb and Lynn Harris, Charles Blevins, and Lana and Ray Collier.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in The Meeks Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Hawk Cemetery. Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
