Roy Lister died at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Lister in this city Friday, June 20th at the age of 22 years. Roy has been a charge upon his parents since childhood being unable for the past few years to leave his room. His parents have devoted their lives in caring for him and his misfortune only served to increase their love and devotion. They have the sympathy of their many friends in their bereavement, yet it seems almost a kind of dispensation of Providence that they were spared to care for Roy throughout his life. The funeral was held Sunday. (Newspaper clipping from family book)
Note: I believe Roy was born down syndrome as evident of the picture of him and his half sister Mary. His stone and obituary call him "Roy" which I believe to be a middle name. His first name is really William.
