Wareham town records lists marriage intentions for Mr. William Drake of Middleborough and Mrs. Amelia Swift of Wareham in 1828. Wareham is where Mercy's father had died. Also, according to Plymouth Court records, Amelia, widow of William Drake, lived with Mercy and her husband in Middleborough.
