She was born July 5, 1957, in Ripley, WV, a daughter of the late Howard Edward and Annabelle (Shamblin) Jarrett. Her sister, Connie Gray, also preceded her in death.
She was a former employee of NGK Spark Plug Manufacturing, and a homemaker. She enjoyed farming and working with animals, crafts and reading.
Survivors include her son, Tod Scot Benson, daughter, Candy Anton Stone, and; grandson, Christopher S. Benson, all of Ravenswood; sisters, Jenny Bush and Linda Lewis of Ravenswood, Roberta Evans of Rainelle, and Susie Marble of Frederick, MD; and her devoted love of 20 years, Lester D. Abels, of Ravenswood.
Service will be 5 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Ravenswood, WV, with the Pastor Chris Skeens officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
