COCKRUM, Miss.---Carl C. Allen, 76, who served 12 years in the Mississippi House of Representatives and either years in the Senate, died at 1 a.m. today at his home in Cockrum.
He was a lay leader in Cockrum Methodist Church where he served as Sunday School superintendent and steward.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church with burial in Cockrum Cemetery. Brantley Funeral Home of Olive Branch is in charge. He was a Mason.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Ruth M. Allen; two sons, Robert C. Allen of Cockrum and Thomas M. Allen of Olive Branch; three sisters, Mrs. Sadie Moore of Byhalia and Mrs. Blanch Smothers and Mrs. Julia Flinn of Olive Branch and five grandchildren.
