Gracie Masters McMichael, 81

Mrs. Gracie Masters McMichael, 81, of 719 Shelby Parkway, Louisville, died Monday, March 7, 1988 in Macon, Georgia.

Gracie retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corporation, in 1971 after 28 years of service.

Formerly of Washington County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Taylor and Rindy Ward Masters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert M. McMichael, in 1966.

Survivors include two sons, J. Carlton McMichael Sr. of Louisville, and Albert M.McMichael Jr. of Macon Georgia; one daughter, Mrs. Ruby Bates of Macon, Georgia; nine grand-children; 13 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Son Masters, of Springfield.

Funeral services were held at Carey & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, March 10, at 2 p.m.

Officiating was the Rev. Jim Heneisen, pastor of Harmony Baptist Church in Louisville, of which she was a faithful member.

Serving as pallbearers were Carlton Jr., Alton, David, and Albert McMichael, Bill Bates and Donald Lovell.
