DEATH FROM APOPLEXY
R. F. Maynard, Northwest Pioneer, Stricken in Lewiston Theatre Last Night and Expired While Being Conveyed to His Home

Clarkston, March 8. -- B. F. Maynard, northwest pioneer and a resident of Clarkston for many years, died suddenly tonight from apoplexy.

Mr. Maynard attended the Theatorium in Lewiston and was stricken with a fainting spell while in the theater. He was carried to a taxi cab and hastened to his home but was dead when the car reached his residence.

Mr. Maynard was about 84 years old and crossed the plains with his wife in 1862.

The family home has been in the northwest since that time and about ten years ago Mr. Maynard established his home in Clarkston.

He is survived by his wife, several children, and brothers.
