This is the headstone for Lester Allen "Army" Armstrong and his wife Maybelle (Mabel Van Horn Armstrong). Army was my grandfather. His son, my father, William Robert Armstrong went by Bob. Both buried at Elmwood Cemetery, Woodward OK. The supposed reason they only have first names is because Grandmother Maybelle did not want her relatives to find them. Reason unknown. Maybelles grandmother is buried next to them. Her headstone only says 'Grandmother'. Her name was Elmina Way.
