Malinda Andrews , 87, of Lagarto died at her residence May 1, 1992, after a short illness. Funeral services were held May 4 at 10 a.m. at the Lagarto Community Church with Rev. John Donaldson officiating. Interment was in Clegg Cemetery.
Mrs. Andrews was born at Pontotoc, Texas on Aug. 23, 1904. She was a homemaker and a seamstress. She was active in the Lagarto Community Church, and was a charter member of the Lagarto Community Club. She had resided at Lagarto since 1965.She was preceded in death by a son, J. W. Andrews. Survivors include three daughters: Edith Goodwin and Polly Teltschik, both of Lagarto, and Robbie DeWilde of Champaign, Illinois; two sons Everett Andrews of DeSoto and Ed Andrews of Lagarto; two brothers: Perry Lehmberg of Gatesville and Ernest Lehmbert of Beeville; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers were grandsons.
