Jewel H. Gorman, 81, of Laurel died Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at South Central Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2013, at Memory Chapel with burial to follow at Lott Cemetery. Rev. Gene Douglas will officiate.

Mrs. Gorman worked as a hairdresser and a private duty sitter prior to retirement. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Calhoun Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Allen Brewer; four brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include one son, Larry Brewer and wife Candy of Meridian; three daughters, Gail Herron and husband Richard of Laurel, Judy Quave and husband Joey of Robert, LA, and Nancy Gorman Temple of Opelika, AL; thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and special friend, Earl Reid of Ellisville.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Hall, David Herron, Eric Brewer, Brian Smith, Jameson Quave, Bud Robertson, Pete Clement, and Eddie Stoulig.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service on Sunday, February 24, 2013, at Memory Chapel of Laurel which is in charge of the arrangements.
