PRINCEVILLE - Richard S. Bonomo, 86, of Princeville died at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

Richard was born Nov. 17, 1926, in Peoria, the son of James and Alma Miller Bonomo. He married Evelyn Stengle on April 29, 1946. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Stephen (Like) Bonomo of Princeville, David (Lisa) Bonomo of Naperville and Gregory (Ann) Bonomo of Princeville; two daughters, Deborah (Stan) Mercer of Macomb and Cynthia (Brian) Housour of Chardon, Ohio; grandchildren, Richard Bonomo, Daniel (Rebecca) Bonomo, Marisa Bonomo, Matthew Bonomo, Christina Bonomo, Jeffrey Bonomo, Ray Manning, Joe (Jo) Manning, Amanda Housour, Sarah Housour, Michael Bonomo, Jamie Bonomo and Jessica Bonomo; and great-grandchildren, William and Lauren Bonomo, Carleton Bonomo, Gavin Bonomo, Chloe, Parker, Ethan and Sawyer Manning, Evelyn and Adalyn Manning and Haylee Schultz.

One brother, Melvin Bonomo, and two sisters, Clara Plattner and Elizabeth Rose, preceded him in death.

Richard was a United States Army veteran.

He was owner and operator of Dick's Tool & Die.

Richard was a member of Princeville Presbyterian Church, where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013. The Rev. Jacob Puckett will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home in Princeville, and one hour prior to funeral services at the church. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.

Memorial contributions may be made to Akron-Princeville Ambulance Service or Princeville Presbyterian Church.
