October 31, 2003 Duane L. Burdick, 86, of DeRuyter, died Friday at Cortland Memorial Hospital. He was born in DeRuyter. He retired from Carrier Corp. Survivors: Wife, Lora Parslow Burdick; daughter, Teri Burdick and son, John, both of DeRuyter; two grandchildren; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Allan and Marilyn Nortz of Manlius. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the United Church of Christ, DeRuyter. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, DeRuyter. Calling hours Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, DeRuyter.
