Floyd "Andy" Rudolph Anderson, 81, of Cumming passed away comfortably at his home Feb. 10, 2012.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Feb. 9, 1931, he was the son of the late August and Florence Anderson. His beloved wife of 53 years, Elda Borsi Anderson, predeceased him March 2, 2008. Andy fought courageously against scleroderma, which took him to our Lord after a wonderfully lived life.

Andy retired after 21 years of dedicated service to his country from the 9th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing of the United States Air Force as an active duty Lt. Colonel in Jan. 1973. He became a small business owner for a number of years before he retired completely in 1987.
He will be remembered for his love of music, as he was an accomplished pianist. He played music for the church for a number of years in different cities where he resided including Bethleview United Methodist and was an avid member and officer of the American Legion.

He is survived by

Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 13, at 4 p.m. at Bethelview United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at
the church Monday from 2-4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bethelview United Methodist Church, First Redeemer Church, or Paralyzed Veterans of America at www.pva.org.
