Foul play is not suspected in an Oglesby man's death, but suspicious wires at the man's house led police to bring in a bomb squad.
About 6:30 a.m., Oglesby police went to a home in the 600 block of North Columbia Avenue to check the well being of 74-year-old Donald D. Reagan. Police became suspicious of wires coming from a window and, as a precaution, called the Kane County Sheriff's Bomb Squad to assist, police said.
After the premises were deemed safe, officers entered the home and found Reagan dead of apparent natural causes.
Surrounding homes were not evacuated and by late afternoon authorities had left the scene. Reagan's death is under investigation by Oglesby police and the La Salle County Coroner's Office.
