Arthur was the beloved son of James Dallas Blankenship and Florence. He was married to Katherine (Elswick) Blankenship and owned a carry-out for most of his life. He also carried a chauffeur's license for the city. He was the beloved father of the late Florence (Blankenship) Childers (1935-1964), Geneva (Blankenship) Lafon, grandfather to 4 and great-grandfather of 8. He is deeply loved and missed by many. He died of a massive heart attack at the age of 58.
