Joan Klaseus, 76, of Kasota went home to the Lord on Saturday, Feb 9,2013, in Lubbock, TX, with her family by her side.
A memorial services will be held in Mankato in June.
Joan was born on Sept 24th 1937 to Chet and Marie (McGuire) Rains in Mankato MN. Joan was married to Richard on October 9, 1964, in Mankato MN. Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. She enjoyed visiting with friends and selling Avon for many years. She started and ran a support group for many years called Compassionate Friends for parents who have lost a child. Joan was a long time and active member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic church in Mankato.
Joan enjoyed walks and visits with friends. She would gladly help anyone in need. She was always one that lived everyday to its fullest.
She is survived by her loving husband Richard ,daughter Julie (Steve) Serrano of Pecos, TX, and their 13 children Aric, Christian, Jesse, James, Freddy, Willy, Sarah, Amanda, Jennifer, Avi, Shane, Anna and Grace. Son Jeff (Jill) Klaseus and their 4 children, Jonathon, Timmy, Emma and Claria of Lexington, South Carolina. Brother Robert (Arla) Rains of Cedar Falls, IA, Sister and brother in law Lavina and Paul DeNatale of Daly City, CA.
She is preceded in death by her parents her daughters Barb and Sarah and son Patrick, brother Wesley Rains, sister Darlene Thurston and special friends Burt and Colleen Quast.
