PAUL J. STAHL 41 YRS OLD DIES TODAY
Paul J Stahl, aged 41, who resided on his farm northeast of Yale, died this morning about 11 o'clock following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at the Bethel Church at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon with the Rev J.M. Tschetter in charge.
Mr. Paul Stahl was born in Township 100, Hutchinson County, South Dakota to Joshua and Barbara (Tschetter) Stahl near Freeman. He was the first child and son born to his parents. In 1901 he moved with his parents and five sisters to the new family farm in Beadle County.
On January 12, 1908 Paul J and Anna J Hofer were married in Lakeside, Hutchinson County, South Dakota by Rev. Bachman. Shorty thereafter they moved on a Beadle County farm. Here Paul J and his wife Anna raised their family for the past 25 years.
Surviving him are his widow, Anna J, and his six children: His sons: Jacob and Joe, and his daughters: Anna, Agnes, Barbara, and Dorothy, all of whom live at home. His mother, Mrs Joshua Stahl, one brother, Joshua B. Stahl and his wife Anna J (Kleinsasser), four sisters, Mrs. Paul J (Justina) Walter, Mrs. Andrew A (Anna) Hofer, Mrs David H (Lydia) Fast, all of Beadle County and Mrs Jacob T (Katherina (Katie)) Tschetter of Onida.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joshua Stahl, who died October 8, 1925, a sister, Maria (Mary) Stahl Walter, who died on August 3, 1914, and a daughter, Mary, who died July 9, 1924 at the age of 14 years old.
