Edward L. Bruce, Jr. (Sonny), 80, of Prospect Park, PA, died on February 15, 2013. Mr. Bruce was retired from Trans World Airlines (TWA) following a 40-year career and served overseas in the United States Army for three years.
Pre-deceased: by son John Anthony Bruce
Survivors: Wife of 54 years, Antoinette Rita (Gagliardi); Children: Rita Fitzgerald (Steve), Edward L., III (Lori); Richard (Joan); Ann Shriver (Joseph); Dennis (Carrie Dayton); Ronald (Melissa). Also survived by ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Enjoyed the beach and Philadelphia sports, but most of all known for devotion to his grandchildren who lovingly called him "Poppy".
Service: Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Wednesday after 9:30am at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood followed by his Funeral Mass at 11am at St. Gabriel Church, Mohawk Ave., Norwood.
