MARY ANN BERRY ROSS (1926-2008)

Mary Ann Ross, 82, passed away on December 17, 2008 after a long illness. She was born in Ottawa, IL on August 21, 1926. She is preceded in death by the love of her life her husband Gene, her parents, Lawrence and Marguerite Cleary Berry, her brother John and her grandson David Eugene Ross.

Her survivors are her daughter, Julie Ann (George) DeLong and son, Michael (Ruth) Ross; grandchildren, Dylan, Erica, Yvonne and great grandsons, Craig, and Jarian. Her surviving siblings are Robert Berry, Patricia (Austin) Jensen, Sally (John) Keenan and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann graduated from Maarquette University with a B.S. in Nursing and was a member of the Cadet Nursing Corps during WWII. Later in life she went back to school and earned a M.S. in Psychology from U of AZ.

Mary Ann was a strong and giving person. Nursing was her calling in life.

The family wishes to thank all the staff at The Place At Tanque Verde and Evergreen Hospice for their care.

A Celebratory Mass will be held at St. Pius X Church on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with a brief gathering after Mass in the Church Hall. There will be Private Family Interment at All Faiths Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Casa De Los Ninos or the charity of your choice.
