Hobart G. Delay, long time resident of this community dies at age 55. He died on January 26, 1971.
He had been a patient for one day at St. Vincent Memorial Hospital, he had been in ill health for over a year.
He was born November 30, 1915 in Edinburg, the son of Roy and Zelia Jones Delay. On October 16, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri, he married Agnes L. Seward. He was a truck driver exployed by Frank Hurtte.
Survivors include his wife, sons, David LeRoy and Francis and a brother of Tulsa, Oklahoma. And two grandsons.
Visitation was from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Shafer Funeral Home on Wednesday evening, service were held on Thursday morning at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Heiman officiated. Interment was made at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pall Bearers were Frank Burba, Alvah Brown, Donald Brown, Lemuael Daniels, Leo Jones and Marion Delay.
