Tony was born in Waterbury on March 18, 1929, son of the late Frank and Maria (Mancuso) LoRusso. He was a U.S. Army veteran and also served in the National Guard. He worked as an inspector for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft of Cheshire and Southington for 32 years retiring in August 1993. He and his wife moved from Waterbury to Woodbury in October of 2006. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was an avid coin and stamp collector.
Besides his wife of 55 years, he leaves; two sons, Anthony J. LoRusso and his wife Karen of Arlington, MA and Joseph F. LoRusso of Waterbury; a daughter Susan M. (LoRusso) Iannuzzelli and her husband Rick from Long Valley, NJ; three grandchildren, Christian, Sophia and Annaliese; several nieces and nephews; and grand nieces and grand nephews. Three brothers, Leonard "Leo", William, and Nicholas LoRusso, and five sisters, Catherine Roach, Angela LoRusso, Carmela "Nellie" Fortier, Gertrude Bashta, and Deana Kane have predeceased him.
Arrangements: Funeral Saturday 8:30 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home 430 Chase Parkway to Our Lady of Lourdes Church for a Mass at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
