LAUREL FORK, Va. - Clyde Grey Hylton, age 76, of Laurel Fork, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was born in Patrick County on March 2, 1928 to the late Frank C. and Clyde Marshall Hylton. In addition to his parents, Grey was preceded in death by one brother, Joel Hylton. He graduated from Walnut Cove High School in Stokes County, North Carolina, and attended Virginia Tech, N.C. State and George State University for courses in construction and financial management. Grey joined APAC-Virginia, Inc. on September 1, 1948, working there continuously, except for two years that he served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Grey retired in 1991 as president of APAC-Virginia, Inc. and of the Virginia Asphalt Association. He was a member of the VFW Post 8467 in Meadows of Dan, and was of the Primitive Baptist faith. He loved raising cattle and horses, spending time on his farm, bluegrass music, and spending time with his family and friends.Grey is survived by his wife, Edna Williams Hylton of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Julia and Lynn Hughes of Danville, Beth and Jim Delehanty of Washington, D.C., Vicky and Tom Godfrey of Danville; one son and daughter-in-law, Frank C. and Sandra Hylton of Halifax; four grandchildren, Brynn Hughes, Jeri Hughes, Ben Godfrey and Brad Godfrey, all of Danville; and two sisters, Sue Mitchell of Stuart and Juanita Young of Walnut Cove, North Carolina. He is also survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and friends.Funeral services for Grey will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder Donnie Conner and Elder Tim McGrady officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Shade Cemetery with military rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, and at other times at the home, 1164 Maple Shade Road, Laurel Fork, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27102 or to Laurel Fork Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.
