Born Aug. 27, 1898 in Star Lime Works, Ky. to William A. Higgins (24 @ time of birth) & Annie Lee Higgins (18 @ Time of birth). On Sept. 03, 1920 in Paducah, Ky. at 22 yrs of age he married Lula Eva Higgins. They had 5 children in all, one of which died at birth I believe. The remaining 3 girls and 1 boy moved with the family to Alton, Ill. some yrs later where Raymond began working for Owens Glass and retired from there in approx 1964. He was preceeded in death by his wife Lula in 1979. Raymond died in 1981 at his oldest daughters home in Alton from cardiac and respriratory failure.
