CALDWELL — Services for Oscar Haumann, 74, of 2006 Blaine, Caldwell, retired city watermaster, who died Friday morning in a Caldwell nursing home, will be held at Peckham-Dakan Chapel at 2 p.m. Monday The Rev. Ernest Chamberlain of the First Christian Church will officiate and interment will be at Hillcrest.
He was born March 8, 1893, in Thedford, Neb., and was reared in Nebraska. He was married April 1, 1917, in Thedford to Juanita Fodge, and they moved soon after their marriage to Eastern Wyoming. They lived there for 13 years and came to Caldwell in 1933. He farmed and was watermaster until retiring in 1962.
In addition to his wife, Juanita Haumann, he is survived by four sons, Richard of Nampa, Carl of Santa Barbara, Calif., Kyle of Boise, and Keith of Santa Ana, Calif., three daughters, Mrs. Maxine Hardy of Santa Maria, Calif., Mrs. Audrey Rinearson and Mrs. Jo Ann Carpenter, both of Caldwell; two brothers, Fred of Delta, Utah, and Theo of Richland, Wash.; four sisters, Mrs. Lena Smith of Portage, Wis., Mrs. Anna Simonton of Purdum, Neb., Mrs. Retta Adams and Mrs. Hattie McCoy, both of Caldwell; 19 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A son, Roger, died in 1943.
