Rilla Ruth Elliott, 92, a resident of Columbus Convalescent Center, died there at 2 a.m. today.
She was the mother of Marshall Prather of Columbus. She was a member of First Christian Church, American Legion Auxiliary and years ago operated a beauty shop at Fourth and Washington streets.
Funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Harold Armstrong at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Calling at the funeral home will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and on Monday from 9:30 a.m. to service time.
Mrs. Elliott was born Nov. 7, 1896, in Columbus, to Charles and Zelphia Seal Leffler. She was married to Homer Elliott in 1921. He died in 1965.
Also surviving are a sister, Hazel Bright of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; and 10 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Herman Prather.
