Mrs. Irene Baker Cox, 80, of 210 Meader Street in Campbellsville, died at the Taylor County Hospital in Campbellsville on Tuesday, March 3rd, 1970. She was a member of the Campbellsville First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Campbellsville Homemakers Club and the Fellowship Club. She united in marriage to Mr. W. B. Cox, Sr., December 12, 1915. He preceded his wife in death, December 18, 1963. Survivors include her children, Mrs. Clifton Ewing and Billy Cox, both of Campbellsville; Mrs. William Reese of Tehran, Iran; and one step-daughter, Mrs. Ed Rice of Columbia, Kentucky. Besides her children, she is also survived by eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister, Miss Iva Baker of Cabot, Arkansas; and a half-brother, Mr. E. E. Baker of Amarillo, Texas. Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7th in the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev. Marshall Owen. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
