An early settler and pioneer resident of Delaware County has been removed by death in the person of Patrick Trumblee, who died at his home in the north part of the city Tuesday evening, of stomach trouble. For a number of years in the past Mr. Trumblee has been an invalid, being partially blind and unable to do any kind of work. He was an extensive land owner in Coffins Grove Township, where he had an excellent farm of 250 acres, which he was forced to leave, removing to this city when he was no longer able to work. Mr. Trumblee was nearly 83 years of age at the time of his death, and was of Irish descent, born in 1815. At 18 years of age he removed to the United states, settling in Massachusetts, where he remained until 1855, when he can to this county. His wife and three sons, William, James and George survive him. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at ten o’clock, from St. Mary’s church, interment to be made in the Catholic Cemetery.
