Born April 28, 1926, in Earle to Clyne and Ernestine Nash Belue, he was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman; co-founder of the Earle Hunting & Fishing Club; served as fire chief for the Earle Volunteer Fire Department; member of the Osceola Volunteer Fire Department; and member of the Arkansas Parents Club (University of Arkansas Medical School Member). Jim was owner/co-founder of Quality Cleaners in Osceola, Betty Brite and ABC Cleaners of Jonesboro, and served as president of the Southern Laundry & Dry Cleaners Association and the International Fabricare Association.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Bobbie Belue; one son, Dr. Mike Belue of Ruston, La.; one daughter, Lynne Lawrence of Little Rock; three stepsons, Billy Yates of Jonesboro, Michael Yates of Memphis and Tommy Yates of West Memphis; three stepdaughters, Debbie Underwood of Cordova, Tenn., Rita Davison of Osceola, and Beth Yates of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; two brothers, Clyne Belue Jr. of Earle and Bill Belue of Searcy; one sister, Ann Norwood of Searcy; 23 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Julia Gammill; and one stepdaughter, Carol Yates.
Burial was in Crittenden Memorial Park at Marion.
