Mrs. Alice MONEY, 74, a native of Stanford, KY and a resident of Waveland since 1931 died Saturday at the home of Mrs. Stella Slaves whom she was visiting. Death was attributed to coronary thrombosis that followed an illness of a few days. Mrs. Money was born Sept 16 1880 the daughter of George and Mary Scott Southern. She married Oscar Money Feb 23, 1906. The husband died in 1938. She was a member of the Christian Church. She had served as a practical nurse since the death of her husband. Surviving are two sons, Ernest of Boise, ID; and Edgar of Miami, FL; 3 daughters, Mrs. Hazel Vick of Oklahoma City, Ok; Mrs. Mabel Burkhalter of Washington, DC & Mrs. Gladys Garland of Miami, Fl; 13 grandchildren and five greats. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter. Funeral was conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Waveland Christian Church with burial at Maple Ridge Cemetery. The Rev. Grover DeNeal was the officiating minister.
