Gary Patrick Slattery, 67, passed away on February 03, 2013 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He was born on April 18, 1945 in Seattle, Washington to Delbert and Maxine (Egan) Slattery. Gary was a veteran of the US Army, a former longtime resident of Carrollton and presently living in Malaysia. He retired from Computer Sciences Corporation in 2010 where he had been an IT Analyst for 22 years.
Gary enjoyed spending time with his wife and with his family, telling stories about his past, cooking, traveling to new places, and loved drinking a good cup of coffee. He enjoyed listening to music, and classic rock was his favorite. He was a best friend, a son, a brother, a husband, a father, and a wise and honorable man. Gary had a way of always knowing the right thing to say at any given moment. He touched a lot of lives during his own and will be greatly missed by many.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mashitah Slattery of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; four sons, Shawn Slattery and wife, Rebecca of Seattle, WA; Michael Slattery and wife, Dawn, of Benicia, CA; Joshua Slattery and fiancé, Shadera Kerley of Carrollton, Texas; and Spencer Slattery of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren, Kami Slattery, David Slattery, Dillon Slattery and Samantha Slattery; one brother, Neil Slattery and wife, Rosa of Ft. Worth, Texas; two sisters, Sue Johnson and husband, Dan of Austin, Texas and Ethel Anderson and husband, Roy of Edmonds, Washington; and former wives', Cathy Slattery of Seattle, WA and Shayne Slattery of Dallas, TX.
