Seriously ill for two months, Mrs. Nora E. Michie died of heart disease at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. Michie, with her son and daughter, moved to Cape Girardeau from Steele in 1919 and had made her home there since, except that she had spent some time during the last two years at Caruthersville, Fairfax, Calif., and Rock Island, Ill.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Christian Church in Cape Girardeau. Burial was made at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Michie had been slightly ill for several months. After being a patient at Southeast Missouri Hospital she had gone to her home for 10 days, then returned to the hospital and had been there a little more than three weeks. Plans were for her to leave the hospital shortly, to accompany her sister, Mrs. F. T. Nedbal, who has been here for a week, to her home at Fairfax, Calif.
Mrs. Michie is survived by a son, Iverson Michie, of Cape Girardeau, one daughter, Mrs. Tom Rodhouse, of Rock Island, Ill., a brother, Joseph Treece, of Scipio, Okla., and an 8 months old grandson, Tom Rodhouse, Jr.
Mrs. Michie was 52 years old, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larkin Treece. She was married in 1903 to Iverson Michie, who was cashier of the Bank of Steele. Mr. Michie died in 1913.
Mrs. Michie was a member of the Christian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star in Cape Girardeau.
