Laura Clara Amos was born to Edwin and Louetta Amos along with her twin brother, Loren Clarence Amos (deceased) on February 21, 1924. She was a faithful church goer and Sunday School Teacher all of her life. Also, she was a faithful member of Classic Collectibles and Shepherds Center of Independence, which are groups for seniors.
Laura is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Carl of Dallas, Texas, and Betty Payne of Blue Springs, Mo. She was the mother of H. Curt vonMosch, Jr. of Mico, Texas, Lauretta F. Moore of Lacey, Wash., and Linda S. Musial of Independence, Mo. She was also stepmother to five other children whom she helped raise with her second husband. They were Lelia J. Marr of Biggs, Calif., Linda L. Chapman (deceased), Shaen K. Abshire (deceased), Everett H. Perry of Chico, Calif., and Robin D. Knox of Oroville, Calif. Also, she is survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 stepgrandchildren, as well as 30+ great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Feb. 24. at 10:30 a.m. in her church, Grace Heartland Community Church located at 9507-11 E. 59th St., Raytown, MO 64133
