Doris London White-OGDEN

Doris London White, born in Ogden, on September 30, 1921, passed away at her home (of 72 years) in Ogden on September 10, 2011. She was in the second graduating class from Ogden High School in 1939. She worked as a civil service employee at Hill Air Force Base and the IRS.Doris was never happier than when she was with her husband camping, bowling and watching baseball. Her hands were constantly busy with a crocheting project (usually a gift for others), holding a book, or baking for family (Grandma's house was NEVER without cookies in the cupboard waiting for family to visit). Her generosity and open door (not only to family, but their friends as well) will be cherished forever. We will always remember the train around the Christmas tree and crocheted items for each holiday season. She is survived (3 daughters) sister, Verna London Hadley; brother, Frank (Luetta) London; sisters-in-law Sandy (Geary, deceased) London and Wife of (Jack London, deceased) 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of more than 62 years, LeRoy White; her parents; and two brothers. Special thanks to Lorraine, Andrea, Robert, Miller and Dr. Reis of Alpine Hospice, and granddaughter Stacey, you all are AMAZING. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Alpine Hospice, 5478 Adams Ave. Pkwy, Ogden, UT 84404A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on September 15, 2011, at Washington Heights Memorial Park.
