Monrow died in 1913 when Helon was only 6 years old. Sallie then married James Franklin Yancey. He died when he was 49. Sallie was about 6 years older than he was. She went to live with Helon in Elkhart, Indiana. She died up there. Helon and her husband had a station wagon and they brought her back to Ripley in the station wagon. They stopped in Memphis on their way back, at the home of Owen and Marie Booker. According to the Social Security Index, Helon died in Elkhart, too. She and her husband were divorced.
