Mrs. Sylvia Way Collins, 95, died Wednesday, January 1, 2003, at Savannah Specialty Care. She was born in Emanuel County and lived in Cobbtown most of her life before moving to Savannah in 1975. She was a homemaker, a member of the Cobbtown Baptist Church and the widow of Sidney Quincy Collins.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Betty C. and Robert Horst of Savannah; two sisters, Louise Youmans and Sara Nell Brooks both of Gordon; and two grandchildren, Donna Lynn Thompson and Robert Shane Horst both of Savannah.
Graveside funeral services were conducted Saturday, January 4, at 2:00 p.m. at Sunlight Cemetery with Rev. Calvin Durrence officiating.
Kennedy-Morgan Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, was in charge of the arrangements.
